Dear Aunt Emma,
"Danke" means thank you" and we all want to send you our thanks for the prayer shawl. I do believe that is the sweetest and most thoughtful gift that anyone has ever given us. A heartfelt thanks to the ladies in the Prayer Shawl Ministry as well. The shall will not only serve as a reminder to turn everthing over to the Lord, but will also be a comfort to us as a symbol of the love of our family and friends (and unknown brothers and sisters in Christ) that are praying for us. I certainly don't know why both of our girls ended up the way they did, but I trust God to bring us through it one day ( and sometimes one hour) at a time. I am sure the shawl will soak up many a tear (it already started when I held it the first time) and I know that the tears it holds will not only flow from sadness. (smilley face) God bless you, sweet Auntie, for thinking of us and sharing your love in this way!

I don't know how I can ever thank you enough for the thoughts, prayers, and the amazing shawl. I barely got through reading the message on the shawl, then the paper, and the card. I went to get the phone to call and I couldn't quit crying. It's the most beautiful gift I have ever received, besides my children. Even writing this is between tears.
I thought I'd best at least send this off so ya'll will know I received it and how thankful I am to you both and all those who pray for me. As soon as I can quit all this crying - I'll call ya'll. I'll be going through chemo soon - so I won't be working for a while. I will stay in touch - ya'll are as close to angles as I have ever been. Thank you both again!

Receiving the beautiful prayer shawls brough back memories of my mother, who began knitting late in life and gained such joy in her Christain associations and gifts she gave to those in need!
